I. History and Development:<\/strong><\/p>\n

The Practical Training Unit is located in Building C1 and functions as a department within the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering at the Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology (HCMUT) of the Vietnam National University (VNU) in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam.<\/p>\n

In response to the mechanical practice course requirements across all university training programs, a section of the Manufacturing Engineering Department was separated in 1985 and combined with several related workshops. These included the C5 Mechanical Workshop of the Mechanical Engineering Faculty, the Foundry and Pattern-Making Workshops of the Foundry and Metallurgy Department, and the Power Engineering Faculty’s Automotive Workshop. This formed the Practical Training Unit of the Mechanical Engineering Faculty, as approved by the University Board of Resident.<\/p>\n

Currently, due to the organizational structure of the faculty and changes in the curricula, the Practical Training Unit operates as a unit equivalent to a non-major department. The unit is responsible for managing and organizing the teaching of mechanical practice courses for all programs at Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology that include modules related to mechanical manufacturing practice.<\/p>\n
