On November 3, 2024, the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering at Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology (HCMUT), Vietnam National University (VNU-HCM), successfully organized the International Conference on Renewable Energy and Sustainable Manufacturing 2024 (ICRESM 2024)<\/strong>. The event brought together hundreds of leading scientists and experts from around the world, creating a dynamic platform for sharing innovative research and ideas on sustainable energy and manufacturing. As the main organizer, the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering reaffirmed its leadership in promoting international collaboration and advancing scientific research.<\/p>\n

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Tran Thien Phuc, Vice President, delivered a keynote speech at the 2024 EAI International Conference on Renewable Energy and Sustainable Manufacturing<\/em><\/p>\n

In his opening speech, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Tran Thien Phuc, Vice President of HCMUT, emphasized that ICRESM 2024 is a testament to the university’s commitment to research and global collaboration in renewable energy and sustainable manufacturing. He noted that the conference provided valuable opportunities for Vietnamese students, researchers, and businesses to engage with international experts, helping to enhance the research capacity and innovation of domestic scientists.<\/p>\n

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Bui Trong Hieu, Dean of the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, highlighted the participation of scientists from prestigious institutions across Vietnam, including Hanoi University of Science and Technology, Hanoi University of Civil Engineering, Vinh University of Science and Technology, Da Nang University of Science and Technology, Nha Trang University, Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology, Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology and Education, Vietnam-German University, Tran Dai Nghia University, Tien Giang University and Can Tho University. Internationally, renowned universities such as Ocean College of Zhejiang University (China), Universiti Teknologi Malaysia, National Cheng Kung University (Taiwan), and Yeungnam University (South Korea) were also represented. Dr. Hieu emphasized that ICRESM 2024 served as a multidisciplinary forum, bringing together experts from mechanics, IT, electronics, and environmental sciences to address energy and manufacturing challenges. This collaborative approach has fostered comprehensive and effective solutions.<\/p>\n

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Thanh Hai, Chair of the Organizing Committee, acknowledged the significant growth of ICRESM. Compared to 129 submissions and 69 accepted papers in 2023, this year\u2019s conference attracted 147 submissions, with an acceptance rate of 55%. The accepted papers will be published as an ebook and indexed in the Scopus database (Q4)<\/strong>, showcasing the event\u2019s increasing quality and impact. Researchers from countries such as South Korea, Japan, Malaysia, and Taiwan added to the diversity and enriched the conference\u2019s global reach.<\/p>\n
