In a novel format as a mobile exhibition space, the German Career Truck created an open outdoor, interactive space, offering unique experiences and valuable information to students at Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology (HCMUT). Particularly for those aspiring to study and work in Germany, the event opened up a practical pathway, making their “German dream” within reach.<\/p>\n

The German Career Truck event took place on September 24, 2025, at HCMUT, with the presence of Mr. Felix Wagenfeld, Director of the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) in Hanoi, and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Tran Thien Phuc – Vice President of HCMUT, along with other leaders of the university and a large number of students.<\/p>\n

Commemorating half a century of diplomatic relations between Germany and Vietnam, the German Career Truck, with its mission to “carry millions of dreams,” is scheduled to travel through approximately 20 provinces and cities across Vietnam. HCMUT was honored to be a stop on this journey, providing the Vietnamese public with information about career and educational opportunities in Germany. The event carries even greater significance as HCMUT is currently a trusted academic partner of over 15 German universities and enterprises.<\/p>\n

Mr. Felix Wagenfeld, Director of the German Academic Exchange Service, stated that the project’s core objective is to strengthen bilateral cooperation in labor migration and expand access to the international labor market for young people in Vietnam. Through this initiative, students and young professionals gain access to safe, legal pathways to Germany, whether through university studies, vocational training, employment, or German-standard training programs in Vietnam. The event also featured programs on language preparation and visa applications, opportunities to experience German culture and cuisine, a virtual reality tour of Germany, and, importantly, insights shared by alumni.<\/p>\n

Based on close partnerships with German organizations, educational institutions, and enterprises, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Tran Thien Phuc noted that HCMUT regularly organizes academic and cultural exchange programs for faculty and students to visit Germany and vice versa. \u201cHCMUT takes pride in the fact that many of our lecturers earned their doctorates in Germany, including leaders and faculty members who were recipients of DAAD scholarships,\u201d shared Assoc. Prof. Dr. Tran Thien Phuc expressed his hope that more outstanding students will have the opportunity to study in Germany, serving as academic and cultural bridges between the two countries while promoting a spirit of innovation and international collaboration.<\/p>\n
