HTWG Konstanz – University of Applied Sciences, one of Germany’s leading institutions in engineering, business, and design, has officially established a partnership with Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology (HCMUT), VNU-HCM.
The signing ceremony took place on September 16, 2025, with the attendance of Prof. Sabine Rein, President of HTWG Konstanz, and Prof. Dr. Mai Thanh Phong, President of HCMUT, together with senior leaders from both universities.
Before formalizing this long-term cooperation, HTWG Konstanz and HCMUT had engaged in initial exchanges and joint activities. Building on shared strengths in education and a vision for sustainable collaboration, the two institutions will launch faculty and student exchange programs. The partnership will also include visiting lectures from HTWG Konstanz professors at HCMUT.
To broaden exchange opportunities, HCMUT is connecting HTWG Konstanz with the TL-Stiftung, a scholarship fund that supports Vietnamese students in short-term studies at German universities. Each year, TL-Stiftung sponsors HCMUT students to attend a semester at OTH Regensburg and Reutlingen University. For the 2025–2026 academic year, the foundation has awarded scholarships worth up to 90,000 EUR to HCMUT.
The involvement of TL-Stiftung, combined with the commitment of HTWG Konstanz and HCMUT, is expected to foster an enriching academic environment and open new pathways of knowledge for students.
