The Textile Engineering program was esstablished since 1977, handled by Department of Textile-Garment engineering with the mission of training qualified technical personnel for the textile industry. This program was built on an interdisciplinary foundation: materials science and engineering, chemical engineering, mechanical technology, color science, biology, aesthetics, simulation design, logistics, industrial management, automation, internet of things. Textile engineers are able to design, analyze, develop, operate, test, and manage the processes of fiber production, yarn spinning, fabric formation, dyeing, functional finishing as well as textile products based sustainable development orientation for applications in various industries, e.g. fashion, medical, automotive, aerospace, and some other technical applications. Engineers are also educated on how to adapt and utilize innovative technology from throughout the world to help the country’s industrialization and modernization, as well as how to be politically, ethically, physically, and mentally healthy.
