Working with the Hyogo Prefectural Delegation to promote internship and recruitment programs in Japan

On the morning of October 4, 2025, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Phạm Trần Vũ, Vice President of Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology (HCMUT), welcomed and held discussions with the Hyogo Prefectural Delegation, led by Mr. Shiomi Akihiro, Director General of the Industry, Employment and International Affairs Department.

The participation of 25 enterprises from Hyogo at the university’s Career Fair clearly demonstrates the goodwill and strong commitment of both the Hyogo Prefectural Government and its business community to fostering cooperation and attracting high-quality human resources from HCMUT, especially students aspiring to work in Japan.

According to Mr. Shiomi Akihiro, Hyogo Prefecture has established a set of evaluation regulations to ensure that its enterprises are qualified to recruit foreign workers, including criteria such as working conditions, compensation and benefits, and living conditions. Most of the businesses participating in this year’s Career Fair have met the standards.

The on-site interviews conducted during the event also provide Japanese enterprises with an opportunity to gain deeper insights into students’ career preferences, including their interest in working in Japan compared with other countries, as well as their professional aspirations. This helps companies identify the most sought-after career fields and tailor their recruitment strategies more effectively.

Furthermore, representatives of HCMUT and Hyogo Prefecture exchanged and proposed ideas on expanding corporate internship programs in Japan for students, as well as strengthening cooperative initiatives in training and recruitment.
