
- Introduction
The Department of Material Processing Technology is a member directly under the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering and responsible for training in the areas of Metal forming and Material processing.
1.1. Vision
- As one of the units of training quality human resources, meeting the practical requirements of non-chip manufacturing industry in Vietnam.
- It is the place to carry out specialized research directions with high scale and practical meaning, at the same time is a reliable address for research agencies and other universities in cooperation in training, consultancy, and specialized projects as well as seeking high-quality human resources.
- As a friendly training facility with training programs that are always updated and innovated according to the development trend of countries around the world, ensuring to provide students with sufficient specialized knowledge as well as Deep research ability later.
- 2. Mission
- Training high-tech human resources for embryo manufacturing, metal forming, welding technology, and related industries with a high level, able to integrate with the operating environment of countries in the region and rise to the level of countries in the world.
- Combining effectively between training and scientific research – technology transfer, the technology consultancy, business consulting, ensuring the ability to adapt to the actual activities of the trained team, ensure the ability to effectively apply the conducted researches.
- Expanding international cooperation on technique and technology in embryo manufacturing.
2. Training
2.1. Scale of training
The Department of Material Processing Technology is currently training general and specialized subjects for students and guiding students for graduation internship and graduation thesis. Training and guiding regular and informal students. Department training graduate students in Engineering industry and guidance master’s thesis. In addition, the Department successfully instructed 3 PhD students and is guiding 5 graduate students in “Material forming technology”.
2.2. Training management
The training system of the Department has been applying the credit system. Students of the Department are managed by the School training department, faculty department and teachers of the Department.
Periodic activities (subdivision, civic activities, extracurricular activities …) and other activities (academic seminars from foreign universities or companies, company visits …), Information about training is widely informed to students through many systems such as notice board, e-mail, website.
2.3. Innovating teaching methods
The department has been rebuilding the education and training program in the direction of accredited output standards. The department is preparing detailed outline of subjects according to accredited output standards. The teaching staff of the Department will follow these syllabus.
2.4. Ensure and verify the quality of education
The training program of the engineering industry under mechanical engineering changes based on the survey results of 4 subjects: business, alumni, lecturers and students.

- Design of shaping systems for casting, metal forming, welding technology;
- Technology and equipment for welding and cutting metals and alloys;
- Technology and manufacturing equipment for national economic sectors;

8.1. Cooperation in the country:
The Department has cooperative relationships with schools, organizations and enterprises at home and abroad in the field of fabrication of embryos in order to:
– Providing human resources Specialized engineers Technology for manufacturing embryos for companies and enterprises in the industry, providing lecturers for universities and colleges with this specialized training.
– Coordinate with domestic and foreign enterprises to organize training courses and courses in casting, welding and processing pressure and materials.
