Company Description

  • Bosch first started in Vietnam with a representative office in 1994. Bosch has its main office in Ho Chi Minh City, with branch offices in Hanoi and Da Nang, and a Powertrain Solutions plant in the Dong Nai province to manufacture pushbelt for continuously variable transmissions (CVT) in automobiles. In addition, Bosch operates a software and engineering R&D center (Robert Bosch Engineering and Business Solutions Vietnam Co., Ltd).
  • In July 2014, Bosch set up a new Automotive R&D Center, located in Ho Chi Minh City. The continuous growth of this Centre is in line with Bosch’s strategy in Vietnam, which aims at becoming a manufacturing and R&D hub in the Southeast Asian region. Currently four products are available: connectors, pushbelt, fuel supply, and diagnosis module (tank leakage).

Job Description

Collaborate with the design engineer to develop a Loop Roughness Measurement Fixture and the Rotary Holder for Wear rating by AI, including:

  • Understand the business case and requirements for loop roughness measurement.
  • Develop and evaluate design concepts.
  • Perform mechanical, electrical and control design for the fixture.
  • Support procurement, testing and validation.
  • Track & share progress, challenges, proposal of solutions.

Qualifications

  • Third-year or final-year students majoring in Mechanical Engineering or a related field commit to a full-time 6-month internship.
  • Strong ownership mindset: proactive, persistent and solution-driven.
  • Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written, for technical and daily topics.
  • Proficiency in fundamental engineering calculations and design principles.
  • Familiarity with common manufacturing methods.
  • Proficiency in CAD software.
  • Knowledge of Finite Element Method (FEM) is a plus.
  • Strong analytical, communication and teamwork skills.
  • Willingness to learn and apply new technologies, with the ability to work independently.
