The Automation / Smart Factory Engineer will develop, design, build, planning, implementing and closing projects through a multi-functional team, partnership and following Colgate Standards including Safety, Sustainability, Performance, Reliability, Finance, Security and Risk Management.

WHAT YOU WILL DO:
– Use technical skills including PLC/Archestra programming, HMI screen development, and data acquisition and analytics to integrate (By IoT solution) and improve projects.
– Develop, review and influence approval on automation and smart factory solutions that align with business objectives as well as supplier collaboration with support from Indirect Procurement
– Coordinate project planning, execution and closing: participate in Project Management Plans and Processes (cost, schedule, communication, resources, scope, risk, etc.)
– Implement technical studies with end user and multi-functional teams to understand and accommodate requirements and needs
– Benchmark latest technical developments and identify potential applications for supply chain continuous improvement. Applies risk analysis and evaluates vertical integration.
– Ensures the integrity of equipment specifications, layouts/designs, building and infrastructure construction, electrical and controls requirements and project documentation
– Supervise equipment delivery from the supplier plant to ensure quality, on time delivery and mitigate any potential issues or delay.
– Where required coordinate installation, EMO, Commission, Start up with supplier, end user, plant operation team, maintenance team, plant engineering team and others as required
– Prepare, share and archive final user documentation including, drawings, schematics, instructions, commented programs and the like.
– Participation and involvement in Continuous Improvement Reviews, Domain Expert groups and other technical forums

*Other duties as assigned
– Stays in sync with all policies and standards

Required Qualifications

– Bachelor’s Degree or higher in engineering, information technology or related technical field.
– At least 0- 2 years of work experience in plant floor systems, integration, HMI/Dashboard development, and/or automation.
– Knowledge of manufacturing operations and core processes.

The Continuous improvement Engineer helps us work with partners in the factories, adopt continuous improvement culture and improve overall operational performance, using data and optimization tools to support the manufacturing team on critical improvement projects, developing partnerships with CP colleagues to deliver the agreed-to business results while maintaining positive employee relations.

This position is a valuable member of the Focus Factory management team, to ensure delivery of business results in his/her area. They will work within a structure that requires considerable connection with Focus Factory production and maintenance, and guide, empower teams in the implementation of FP&R (Factory performance & Reliability) strategy. Detailed duties are as below:

1/. Lead the implementation of continuous improvement projects to drive overall plant efficiency and reliability based on insights from data analytics, management standards (Operational excellence), Continuous improvement methodology & tools and project management skills.
2/. Play a key role in the preparation, execution and follow-up of FP&R roadmap & strategy.
3/. Develop coaching /capability modules and deliver training to team members in FP&R: 5S & Visual Workplace, Continuous improvement, Maintenance standards…
4/. Work with relevant task forces to build and monitor action plans for shop floor KPIs improvement.

Additional responsibilities may be added as below:
5/. Be mentor and coach towards integration of the company Operational Excellence, values, philosophies and tools for driving continuous improvement through Kaizen Events.
6/. Work with value stream owners to create a system to ensure people development through value stream focused Kaizen Events and the company Operational Excellence

YÊU CẦU CÔNG VIỆC

* What we require?
– 2+ years experience in Lean Coaching/Lean Coordinating/Continuous Improvement
– Degree in Industrial Engineering or related area preferred
– Good communication in English.
– Profound knowledge in Lean Six Sigma.*What we prefer?
– Your practical experience in working with improvement projects counts!
– Proficient computer and coding skills in Google Suites, Data analytics, and ability to learn company specific tools & programs
– Passion for continuous learning and adopting new technology
