Technical Sales Engineer – Job description 

 

The Sales Engineer is responsible for all sales activities into the assigned client accounts, starting from actively driving up and cross-sell deals to solely be responsible for timely closing deals. Also, he/she is responsible for generating new leads within the assigned market aiming to maximize sales profitability, growth and account penetration.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Establish, develop and maintain business relationships with existing and prospective customers to generate new business for the organization’s products and services
  • Keep abreast of the company’s new and existing products/services to facilitate sales efforts
  • Identify customers’ needs and create relevant sales presentations to match company’s products/services for presentation to customers
  • Create, execute and maintain account plans for existing customers highlighting profile, share and value opportunities including strategy, goals, tactics and milestones

Core Requirements:

  • Achieve the sales targets assigned
  • Formulate a detailed Yearly Sales & Action Plan
  • Develop and maintain a healthy and robust pipeline
  • Manage accounts well and ensure proper documentation and filing
  • Work closely with the team to achieve excellent customer service
  • Ensure timely submission of forecasts and progress reports
  • Generate sales and leads through existing/new contacts, in-house/external events

 

Requirements:

  1. Experience or background in Engineering
  2. Possess at least Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Electrical/Electronic), Engineering (Mechanical), Engineering (Mechatronic/Electromechanical) or equivalent.
  3. A strong grounding in and the ability to apply PLM/CAD/CAM/CAE/Additive Manufacturing solutions in solving industrial problems

4.Good knowledge, qualifications or experience in Product Design, Manufacturing Process, FMEA,

DOE Optimization, Root-Cause Analysis, Six-Sigma or TRIZ methodologies will be useful

  1. Demonstrated ability to build relationships with prospective customers through the use of various prospecting techniques as well as maintaining relationships with current customers
  2. Demonstrated ability to develop and execute a major account plan including strategy, goals, tactics and milestones
  3. Possess the following attributes:
